The Chandigarh Spiti Adventure is a complete 9-night, 10-day motorcycle expedition through the contrasting landscapes of Shimla, Kinnaur, Spiti Valley, Chandratal and Manali.

Starting from Chandigarh, the route climbs through Narkanda and Chitkul before entering Spiti through Nako, Tabo and Dhankar. After two nights in Kaza, the journey continues across Kunzum Pass to Chandratal, Manali and Shimla before returning to Chandigarh.

Day 01

Chandigarh to Narkanda

Approx. 190 km

Begin the expedition from Chandigarh and ride through the lower Himalayan roads towards Shimla. Continue through Kufri and Theog before reaching the peaceful mountain town of Narkanda.

Narkanda to Chitkul

Approx. 180 km

Ride through Rampur and enter the dramatic roads of Kinnaur. Continue through Karcham and Sangla Valley before reaching Chitkul, one of the last inhabited villages near the Indo-Tibetan border.

Day 03

Chitkul to Nako

Approx. 180 km

Travel through Karcham, Reckong Peo, Pooh and Khab while following the Sutlej and Spiti river valleys. Reach Nako and explore its lake, monastery and traditional high-altitude village.

Nako to Kaza via Gue, Tabo and Dhankar

Approx. 150 km

Enter Spiti Valley and visit Gue village, known for its preserved mummy. Continue to Tabo Monastery and explore Dhankar before arriving in Kaza during the evening.

Day 05

Kaza Local Sightseeing

Local Ride

Explore Kee Monastery, Kibber, Chicham Bridge, Hikkim, Komic and Langza. Return to Kaza in the evening with time to visit the market and local cafés.

Kaza to Chandratal via Losar and Kunzum Pass

Approx. 95 km

Leave Kaza and ride through Losar before crossing the spectacular Kunzum Pass. Continue along the adventurous trail towards Chandratal and visit the beautiful crescent-shaped high-altitude lake.

Day 07

Chandratal to Manali

Approx. 125 km

Ride through Batal and Chhatru on one of the most challenging sections of the expedition. Continue towards Gramphu and travel through the Atal Tunnel before reaching Manali.

Manali Local Sightseeing and Rest Day

Local Tour

Enjoy a relaxed day after the demanding Spiti ride. Depending on time and local conditions, explore Solang Valley, Hadimba Temple, Vashisht, Naggar or Mall Road.

Manali to Shimla

Approx. 250 km

Begin the journey towards Shimla through Kullu, Mandi, Bilaspur and the lower Himalayan roads. Reach Shimla in the evening and relax after the long ride.

Approx. 115 km

After breakfast, begin the final ride from Shimla to Chandigarh. The ten-day Chandigarh Spiti Adventure concludes upon arrival in Chandigarh.
